Eonon GA9465/9465B, MHD, and sound

I'm completely comfortable with the sound quality I have now with my HiFi system (no LOGIC7).

What I want is an integrated Android device that can run MHD and logging, as well as add BlueTooth music.

Has anyone installed the newer model Eonon devices? I prefer the GA9465 non-B because I like the bezel and trim for the more OEM look, and I don't really need a large screen. I just want to make sure audio quality is good.

Thoughts?

Also, how does it compare to the Dynavin?

I recently installed the B version in mine, which replaced a Dynavin N7 (non pro). I hands down prefer the Eonon over the N7, with the looks, screen resolution/size, function, touch response, and the ability to fully customize. Even though thee N7 is also Android based, it is locked down, so you cannot download or customize anything. Even though the Eonon puts out slightly less power, it sounds better to me. I also installed BavSound stage 1 speakers and now it sounds amazing (I also have the HiFi). Whatever you can do on an Android phone, you can do on this, via the Goggle Play store. The WiFi on it is fast (using my phone to tether) and Apple CarPlay is seamless and blazing fast.

Also, do you know if you buy the CarPlay dongle for the non-B unit if CarPlay works wirelessly?

FYI, it does not. The B unit includes CarPlay but it's wired. The non-B unit requires a $60 adapter to support CarPlay and Android Auto.

That said, my shipped total was $305 with shipping insurance, and they threw a dashcam, rear cam, and OBDII wireless dongle for free. Even if its mediocre, it's well worth it.

Very happy with the unit so far.

Only problem I had so far was some problems getting Sygic Satnav to work Eonon sent me updates pretty much next working day after I contacted them which instantly fixed the problem. No problems since does everything they say it does and sounds great.

I also got the two cams and OBD interface. I already installed a reverse cam (trunk lid handle type) so I didn't need that cam. I do use the OBD adaptor, as it is what Torque uses for the readings/gauges.

I won't use the OBD adaptor, since that's for my MHD WiFi. I'm not sure whether I'll install the rear camera; I have a real Vorsteiner CF trunklid and I won't drill into it. Dashcam will be useful though!

You can just get one of the trunk handle reverse cams from Amazon for $20-$30 and use the provided reverse cam wiring. That is what I did for mine with my Dynavin, and switched it over to the Eonon. No drilling and straight swap for your existing trunk handle release.
