20% over MSRP for AWD in SoCal

I'm seeing 20% over MSRP for AWD allocations at a lot of SoCal dealers.

That’s just stupid. Anyone that pays that is an imbecile. I get paying MSRP on a new release, but I won’t let them gouge me.

Wait, 20% on an allocation that doesn't even exist yet, and when pricing isn't even released yet?? That is messed up

Reminds me of when the Supra first came out last year. Dealers had the Supras marked up $10-30k over MSRP.

Obviously some youtube kids bought them anyway, but after a few months of the cars sitting on the lots, people started buying them for MSRP again. I'm guessing it'll be the same here. Give it a month or 2, you'll be able to pick them up for under MSRP in my opinion.

I saw the g80 competition today in Brooklyn grey at Southbay bmw in Torrance CA. Beautiful car. They had a dealer mark up of $10k. Seriously? Clowns!

My brother told me someone just got $2000 below MSRP for a BSM G80 they got. You just gotta shop around, im sure theres deals to be had instead of paying $10k over.

Do not pay a penny over!!! Car is going to lose 25,000 in value in 3-4 years. So any extra you fork up, is pissing more away! BMW dealers are clowns. Between this and not letting people test drive these, It's actually comical

I leased a f80 from schomp bmw in CO and had it shipped to so cal. Dealer took almost 3 months to send the paperwork to the dmv and the registration process was a bitch... so ensure they take of that right away.. And you have to do a smog check since you're buying from out of state... but if you can get a good discount it's worth it, which is why I did it.

Do these dealers get some sort of additional incentive from BMW if they don't sell them or something? or is there a tax angle?

^^we dont make money for not selling them. Never heard that one before?

we have to pay flooring on cars that sit on lots so we want to get the gone as soon as possible. Hence why you can sometimes get better deals on cars that are on lots longer then normal time frames.

also keep in mind amount off MSRP is just part of the deal. Make sure you also look into the whole deal as there are various other areas where money can be made
