Door seal leak
Hi, guys, for the first time in ages we've both been out in the car, noticed some white marks on the near side front door mat, when I looked closer the floor beneath it was absolutely sodden. Looks like a leak right at the bottom of the door seal, anyone else had similar issues? I've also noticed the drivers seatbelt is starting to fray along one side, again, anyone had similar? I'm hoping they'll be covered under warranty, had the car literally 12 months yesterday, 19 plate.

That's unfortunate. Can't say I have had those issues & they should be sorted under warranty for sure.
Hope it get's sorted quickly |

Good luck with the dealer! Looks like It may be the same issue.
I found a picture of the door inside panel, this big black piece of plastic has a seal around the edge. In my case the seal at the bottom edge was broken and the entire panel had to be replaced. Now everything is fine. By the way, if there was a faulty batch of those panels, or some assembly problems I wonder how many people have this issue but haven't discovered it yet. It took me a couple of months until I noticed a wet carpet under a floor mat! |

We've had vapour barrier failures, for generations of models, where the barrier becomes detached for a few millimetres or more. You have had the car a year... Have you by any chance parked a lot (over last summer) with the sun on the door that has failed? I know from my own experience that can be a cause, had the same issue on 5 doors over the past 18 years. All on doors that have a lot of direct summer sun on them. I believe the extra heat softens the bonding and any stress in the barrier pulls the joint. |

Car was used fairly regularly over summer whilst I was working so not left for a prolonged amount of time. On the plus side there isn't any smell of dampness. It's due a service in May so going to see if it can be serviced a bit earlier in late April, I've a week off booked, and sort it out then. No one had any issues with the seatbelt?

So booked in for 26th April, they want it for a couple of days to investigate leak, fix then check again. Booked a car, see what delights I get.
