Fitcamx dashcam

Guys any experience on this? Been chatting with the seller and looks like they have a 4K option as well. Would like to get this for the seamlessness of it. Thanks.

Old, old, old, thread and a serious resurrection!

I just installed the Fitcamx in my 2019 G30 (pre-LCI if that matters). I watched 3 or 4 youtubes and it and it didn't appear too difficult..

Those videos were pretty deceiving! Took me about an hour, mostly trying to run the wiring. I had the camera off and on 4 times before I figured out how run the wiring! The tubes were wrong on how place the wiring. I read a post somewhere that said the wiring fit in the void of the camera enclosure, so that's where I eventually maneuvered the wires; I also added some foam around the camera plug to stop any rattling. Also, unplugging the mirror plug requires hands/fingers smaller than my tiny fingers! took me probably 10-15 minutes just to unplug that plug. The final install looks totally factory and I'm glad I did it. I think removing the trim pieces would be easier and less prone to breakage if the job was done in the summer or with the pieces warm.

I am seriously considering this item for my pre-LCI G30 as well. How is the video quality? Do you mind posting a few real world samples here?

Looks pretty good to me. I'll try and see if I can't get something. It doesn't (as far as I know) record speed and I have sound turned off.

About to pull the trigger on this. Seems like a good setup, with only minor issues with SD cards and a bare bones/wonky app.

I'm about to pull the trigger too.

In the ratings, they say you can have GPS stamp on video.

I haven't figured out how, though.

The time stamp is set using a smartphone app.
However, since the camera does not have built-in GPS, it counts the time automatically synchronized when communicating with the app using its built-in clock.
Therefore, if you do not connect to the app for a while, the time will deviate from the actual time.
I have not confirmed the magnitude of the error.
