Hi, newbie here and I'm thinking of purchasing my first bimmer and I leaning on the X3 model. I know that X5 have more options, but the x3 is a better size for me, please help me answer the following:

- does the x3 come with a comfort access option?
- does it come with a start/stop engine button?
- is the technology package option available in x3, or is it only available with x5?
- does the navigation system have a rear view camera option? and will you be able to see the graphic for the parking assist option?
- does the navigation come with the real time traffic info?
- does it come with a dual climate control option?
- does the lift gate come with a remote control to open and close?

Last question....I heard that x3 will be redesigned in 2010, is it better to wait or is 2009 model better?

4. i don't remember, but i think that it has back up camera not fully sure.
5. yes, 09 models do.
6. yes, and front heated seats w/ cold weather package.
7. unversal garage door opener comes with an X3 but its not standard.


yes, for 2010 bmw x3 will be redesigned but it depends, next model maybe ugly and who knows maybe it will be 10x better, your really taking a gamble, the 2010 models will not start arriving in dealer until mid 2010 and by then if your leasing your x3 your lease will already be half done so not a big deal

i own x3 for 4 years,and only i can say its amazing car!

I sent an email to my local BMW dealer and here's what he confirmed to me:

-The X3 does not come with the comfort access option

-The X3 does not have the "start engine" button

-Technology packed is only available on the X5's

-The X3 does not come with a rear view camera. It does have a Park Distance Control option but it does not have the graphical assist

-The X3'd navigation does not come with the Real Time Traffic option

-No Dual Climate Control option

-No remote control option for the lift gate for the X3

I prefer the size of X3 over X5, so I'm disappointed to find out that all the options that X5 have does not come with X3.

If it will have all the tech upgrade and it will look just like this, it may be worth waiting 2010!
