Keep my M2C or switch to an M4?
I have a line on a bsm M4 with 6spd. I have good very good offer on my 2020 M2C 6spd. Net cost to me to upgrade is about $21k. Do you think the new car is better? Do you guys think the M4 is fast on the track as the M2C? I strongly dislike the new grille but love the interior and the bsm hides the grille well enough for me that I don’t notice it.
Thoughts… Pic of my M2c below.

Don't listen to us. Both of them are worth having and keeping. YOU need to weigh anything that you aren't liking about the M2 and if the M3 fixes any of those things. For me it fixed the things I didn't like about owning my M2C without adding any significant new negatives....but my opinion is only worthwhile if you have the same issues/complaints.

My complaint is mainly that I am just not comfortable and while i love the go-kart feel, i miss the space that my M3s had since i shuffle my two kids around a good bit. I miss the HUD and cup holders that can hold a large chick fila cup, lol. I would also hope that at highway speeds it is slightly faster than the M2.

I was 100% sure I was going to get an M2C before the M3 was released. Loved the car, loved the look etc. I then really looked at the new M3, and decided to go with that. Couldn't be happier, it is an amazing car. Have absolutely zero regrets. Anecdotally, a number of forum members have switched from thr M2C to M3/4 and all seem to be really happy with the move. It feels a vastly newer platform. I have two kids that I have in the car almost every day and the M2C would have annoyed me after awhile. It's also starting to feel a bit dated.
It's really what you value though, it's such a personal decision. |

It sounds like you need an M3 rather than an M4 but either way if you are looking for the combination of tech, comfort and speed I would make the change because your never gonna be selling in to a second hand market as hot and sounds like the 3/4 suits your needs better. With the kids the 4 door is a game changer, worth considering that as I'm sure you have

The answer is simple. Keep the M2C and also get an M4C.

I was going to recommend something along these lines. Get an M2c down the road if you really miss it that much, but I don’t think that big of a gap will exist. Depending on how G87 ends up actually looking it might convert more owners.

True story. My GF wants to buy the M2C and have it be her car
If not I have a buyer for more than I bought the car for and basically will have driven it for free for a year.

Definitely get the M3 because you'll still have access to the M2! |
