Winter Tire Size

Hi everyone,

I have a new set of 205/60/16 winter tires that I purchased for my old car. For my new 323i, which requires 205/55/16, would it cause an issue if I install my 205/60/16???

Someone mentioned problems to the transmission and speedo...

Thanks for helpin out!!!

Those tires are a little more than 3% larger outside diameter than stock, as a result, when your speedo is registering 60 mph, you are actually going 62 mph.
It is generally recommended to stay within +/- 3%, but you're at about 3.15%, awfully close...
You should be OK.

Check carefully for rubbing on the front end, especially with winter tires that have deeper treads and squared off shoulders. I personally would not try it.
