Can you alter Intercooler Pump Volume Flow? B48/B58

Hey guys,
The B48/B58 air to water intercooler is capable of flowing 1800 L/hr (from what I've seen in custom tune logs) but is setup from the factory stock tune to flow at 1500 L/hr max.

I assume increasing the intercooler flow volume will reduce IATs, is my assumption correct? Is there a way to increase the intercooler flow? I'm running bootmod3 and couldn't find any option.

There are ways to enable a max cooling mode which has the pump running continuously but that's it. While the pump may be able to run at a higher l/hr it might not give you the benefit you think it would as this would mean the fluid is moving faster and having less interaction with the cooling effect of the fresh air hitting the heat exchanger. I'm going to trust the bmw engineers did all the math to figure out that 1500 l/hr gave the b58 the best cooling performance.

The flowrate is only one factor in IATs. The size of the IC is the other major factor. Even if your are flowing water fast enough, the maximum amount you can reduce IATs (for a given water temp) is dictated by the size of your core. If you increase flowrate but you are already achieving the maximum reduction for your core size its not going to provide any benefit. You could experiment with the flash option and see if it makes any difference. As noted above its also a balance between the residence time in each heat exchanger and the flowrate.
