2021 530i (G30 LCI)

Didn't see anyone who had changed the stock chrome grille to a black one on a non-Shadowline trim LCI G30, so thought I'd pioneer. Just changed mine out yesterday and got the OEM black grille from getbmwparts.com. Installation was very easy and took less than 10 min.

Looks beautiful and I like the LCI head lights more than my pre-lci angel eyes. Is that Alpine white or Bernina grey?

Thanks! It's Alpine White. I used to have a Bernina Gray M550i.

It looks fantastic. I do like it both ways (all chrome and all black). Now that you went for the black look, I would probably change the mirror caps to CF or black. Cheers.

I would like to do the same but I have the park assist. Does anyone know if the process is the same? Don't want to inadvertently pull the camera out or damage it. Can't find a single YouTube video or thread about it. Thanks!

Same process but of course different grille. And make sure before you pull the grille out completely that you disconnect the clamps holding the camera. I've done it on an X5 before and it was a similar process.

How do you remove the original grill!? V easy with the old/pre-LCI kidney grills, but I haven’t found the trick with my 2021 car. There are some clips along the top and sides that I can see and release without issue, but also some clips on the bottom of the grill that I can’t see how to get to.

Is it just a case of releasing the top/sides and then pulling and twisting the whole grill until the bottom clips release? I think I am too mechanically sympathetic…

If anyone can explain, or point me toward any instructions on-line I’d be so very grateful.

Can anyone offer help on how to remove the front grill on a 2021 G30/G31..? I had another look at it yesterday, and am none the wiser…

I am going to fit my carbon grill on weekend will post some pics if you haven’t already fitted mate

If you find a video on YouTube for G20 grill it will be same I reckon but I will try to take some pics
