M-Sport Package has been available on Canada and European models already. However, its only limited to couple individual color options only.

Here is the one we tuned with ACS front addon spoiler.

I bet its the M-sport pack for the US. They are offering the M-Sport pack for the 1 and 5series now from the factory and they will be offering it on other cars in the future. In fact I have a sport package on my X3 and its basically the m-sport pack even though they dont call it that. It has full body paint like the X5 in the phots whcih makes it look 10000000000000000000 times better than the regular X3 without sport. It has m suspension, m steering wheels and an M shift knob as well am M door sills. That is they way the some from the factory when you order sport package on the X3.

When my manager was at training last year he saw the car in the photos and was told this is something BMW is thinking about offering on the X5 as an option package. It looks like it coming espically because of the 1 and 5 having that option available now from the factory.

US X5 M Sport package to cost $6500

Has anyone received confirmation from a U.S. BMW dealership that the M Sport Package will be available on the 2009 X5 (April production)?

Official info and pricing on BMW's U.S. M-Sport packages

http://www.motorauthority.com/offici...-packages.html

Quote:
High-performance factory packages are a common sight these days, but BMW's ZMP M-Sport packages are more than just big wheels and fancy aero pieces. The details revealed today tell us what equipment is standard in the M-Sport package, which models will get it and how much it will cost.

Don't worry, though - big wheels and fancy aero are still part of the package. But on top of that M-Sport buyers will get a sport suspension, special M-branded interior elements, upgraded headliners and a range of special paint colors including two new options: Le Mans blue metallic and Carbon Black.

Other features in the packages include sport seats, a leather steering wheel, and Shadowline exterior trim. The 550i adds active roll stabilzation and multi-countour seats. The 128i gets 17in M wheels, the 3-series can choose from 17in or 18in alloys, the 550i gets only 19-inchers, and the X5 can choose between 19in and 20in wheels.

All 3-series cars except the 335d, the 128i, and the 550i will be able to equip the M-Sport package, in addition to the 135i and other 5-series cars that have already received the treatment. X5s built in April and later will also be able to get the M-Sport package, adding an unit as well.

Pricing starts from $2,450 for the 128i Coupe, then $3,250 for the E92 Coupe, up to $3,750 from the E90 Sedan, $4,800 for the 550i and onward to $6,500 for the X5 3.0 and 4.8 models.

Yeh, mine is set down for April 13th production! the new code for April production is FF0236 for the M-Sport. The previous M-Sport up to end of March was FF0235, so it will be interesting to see what changes there are!

I am not sure if the code only relates to Australia but the previous M-Sport started arriving here late Dec 08 to early Jan 09. I have only seen 2 come through my dealer, one black & one white so far!

Congrats and good luck with your order!

I am more curious if anyone in the US has ordered the M Sport Package yet. There isn't any info on the bmwusa.com website yet, so I'm looking for more US specific information.

Also, anyone know what "mixed performance" tires are, and are they run-flats? Are they high performance and not meant to be driven in the winter/snow, or are they all-season?

All my E70's have had run-flats on the 19" and 20" wheels. The 20" rears run 315's and the fronts 275's and every second person is now getting the 21" option from the dealer here now and they have 325's on the rears, now that's one big tyre!

I cannot answer the all weather tyre question as it does not get cold here!

Hope someone Stateside can answer your questions further!

Thanks...it seems like the XBimmer board doesn't get as much activity as M3post, but hopefully some US members can chime in.

If you are seeking answers on the X5 go to www.x5world.com, they have a large X5 forum which will answer all your needs!

Thanks for the link Watrob. There's more activity on that forum, but still not much info on the US specs of the M Sport Package.
