H&R springs
Hey guys
I just purchased a set of H&R springs, part number 28802-5, from Turner. But there’s one thing confuses me. On Turner’s website, it says the spring is 0.8 inch drop all around. On HR website and Tirerack, it says 1inch front and 0.8 inch back. But all retailers in Europe states it as 3cm front and 2cm back. I emailed HR about it and they said 28802-5 is the same spring regardless of where I buy it from. So what is happening here? If it really drops 3cm in the front, it’s more than what i wanted. |

The ride height of the stock car seems to differ between countries for some reason. So if that is the case the lowering delta is different.
For example my M2C was oem 620/620mm from lower rim edge to fender where others have noted different. https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1471003 https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1749562

I remember researching this myself. If you collect pictures of cars with these springs, compared to those with the Dinan and Eibach you can clearly see the front is lower with the H&R's, so I'm going to say the 1" front and .8" rear is the reality. Remember, the front has more gap than the rear stock, so to get the front to be even lower than the rear you'd need more drop there, not the same.
And yeah, it's low... (I've raised the exposure in the pictures so you can see the gap better) |
