Correct Front Tension Strut Bolt

I ordered a new bolt for the front tension strut and don't know if I ordered the right part number. I ordered part 31106885777

This is what was on the car:

There are three different part numbers for that bolt depending on date of manufacture.

31106885777 is the latest, with the predecessors being 31106863238 (to 08/2017) and 31106795930 (to 11/2013).

HTH.

So 31106885777 is the current part number and supersedes the other 2?

Im experiencing the same confusion right now, I ordered 31106885777 and got a different bolt from what was on the car. The Bolt i received is fully threaded vs the one on the car isn't.

called parts at BMW and they keep wanting to send the fully threaded and longer 31106885777.
