Miami area San Marino, Twilight Purple, or Blue Velvet?

Hey all...

Is there anyone in the Miami area that has any car in San Marino Blue, Twilight Purple, or Velvet Blue?

I am really torn between the three, and am very eager to see any of them in person. I have spent hours finding pictures online, but none do such metallic colors justice.

From what I can gather (pictures in same order, more than one San Marino as it seems the hardest to find a "good" picture of):
Twilight Purple-light violet base, almost pink metallic flake makes appear much lighter and more red than blue, shows some darker blue violet shades when out of direct sun but always red dominant. By far lightest of three. Concerned will be too pinky on person.

Velvet Blue- more "pure purple" than twilight, blue tones in base and metallic mean less dynamic changes than San Marino, dark violet out of sunlight, sort of "pure purple"; concern d about look out of direct sun.

San Marino- super saturated blue with heavy purple undertones, flake makes paint range from almost light blue to dark purple-blue, more purple effect with less light, probably most saturated pigment of all three, and most dynamic range from shadows to direct light highlights.

I had Montego blue on a e92, which I remember as blurple and still miss. I always loved the idea of San Marino being Montego on steroids, but have not seen it in person for many many years.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide regarding where may be able to see these colors live.

Also, anyone with first-hand experience, are these pictures representative of "real life"? For example, I have seen images of Velvet Blue that range from pure purple to mostly blue tinted violet.

I don't have my car yet but here are the painted side markers from IND in Twilight Purple.

Upper portion a little in the shade, bottom portion in the late afternoon Arizona sun.

Photo was taken with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and is unedited.

This picture is probably the closest it can get to what it actually looks like in person.

On a side note, I had a Montego Blue E92 and loved that color as well. 👍🏻

Your side marker (in another thread) is actually what turned me on to twilight. I started looking for every picture I could, and kept finding images that made it look very pinky on the light. Your image looks more neutral red/blue purple...which is when I found velvet blue.

Unless I see either in person, I am just not sure enough to take the risk.

It can be a gamble plunking down $4,500 for the individual color sight unseen, however, I'm super happy I did after getting my parts from IND.

If you are looking for more of Twilight Purple make sure to check out @Purpl3ish on Instagram. He's got some good photos of his Twilight Purple M340i.

I’m looking at these colours too. But unsure of which interior combo to match with them. What interior colour are you thinking for these exteriors?

Silverstone for all 3.

I think Tortufo would also look good, just not my favorite tone of brown. I prefer a brighter more orange tinted brown like Saddle.

I do think Kylami would work with all three from a color theory standpoint, but would be too much contrast for me.

Just not a fan of black...too boring and hot in Florida. Not crazy about the blue, and especially not even the those exteriors.

That's ok...I've got until late 22 to order as current lease doesn't end until May '23.

If you remember, let me know when it gets here!
