Bimmercode - Head Unit Original State

I recently had a problem with my Satnav and voice command whereby the Satnav was greyed out and the voice command was none responsive to actions.

Those issues were resolved by a third party who advised that my FSVC codes were deleted. He fixed the issue using OEM codes.

Anyway since then I haven't been able to access the Head Unit when I code the car using Bimmercode. I keep getting an error messaging saying that "head unit not in original state".

I am seeking assistance from the forum on two main points.

1. Is there anyway I can bypass the error code or remedy the issue?

2. Would Carly allows me to code the head unit in its current state?

I look forward to your replies.
Many Thanks

Best way is to use E-Sys.
1. Without PC and ENET cable - no
2. From my knowledge - no

It won't. Reflash or restore to OEM only.

Bimmercode by default generates a backup file. Try saving a copy of the backup file on another device first. Then delete the backup file from your phone and connect again. This worked for me.

The problem is the headunit was patched and bimmercode wont let you code patched headunits. the only way to resolve this issue is to reflash the headunit back to stock. Issue there is it would wipe out the FSC codes used to fix the OP's issue.

Best option to code with a patched headunit is using more advanced tools like Protool, bimmerutility, and esys.
