Question On CF Hood

Hey guys, I just had a CF hood installed. I was wondering if there was anything that i SHOULDNT do, out of the ordinary car wash. Like is it ok to hand wax it? Oh and also since it has vents, but theres no mesh in side, will the water effect the engine anyway? Probably will but just wanting to ask someone with some exp. on this. Thanks.

Your engine is sealed tight, so regular washing shouldn't affect it one bit. Depending on how much CF and its resin coating is exposed, I would advise against too much sun exposure as the resin could turn yellow with certain brands, VIS and Seibon come to mind. Also, too much sun can cause the resin coat to shrink and your hood finish might look wavy.

You should care for the resin coating like regular car paint with washing and waxing.
