Index 12 Injector "recall" New info.

Pulled this from another site. Seems a bad batch went out from 5/18/2021 to 3/14/2022.

Interesting, I wonder how they will handle ones that have already been sold and put into cars. Looks like n54 injectors continues to be a perpetual problem

Yo dawg, heard you like replacements cause...The replacements to the replacements that are really the best this time, we mean it, that's why we've tripled the price, are now needing replacement. What a cluster f. I saw this on a N54 FB post and people were basically attacking the poster like they were trying to stir up some crap.

Still on my index 1's and had bought some used index 8's on Marketplace that the seller just cancelled after I ordered them a week ago. Glad I didn't plunk down for used index 12's.

LOL. Yep hear ya on all that. My index 7 were just fine but found that a dealer, prior to my ownership, put one index 12 on,. So I got a deal on 5 more.. Before the crazy rona prices. The injector and coolant pump thing have cause so many arguments and fights.. So dumb.

TyroneShoelaces What you describe is precisely why I'm so fond of E90Post... Solid people here with great knowledge and no tolerance for the pseudo-science crap and arguing I so often see on other forums.

For those who installed one of the affected injectors, how does this work? Do I go to my local dealer and have them swap it out for a new one? I bought it from them but DIY installed it.

What a bloody mess. Glad the 2nd index 12 I bought was NOS from 2019…
