When will demo cars arrive in dealerships?
Anyone in the U.S. been told by their dealers when they will be getting demo cars? I'm sure some of you guys who already ordered will be told this and will be allowed to test drive the car all you want. Wonder if the average joe like me who hasn't ordered will be able to get some kinda of test drive?

The dealer I'm talking to in the Bay Area, CA told me there would be one to drive in a couple of weeks.
I am going out of my mind waiting to drive one so I can place my order! |

Seriously though that's what I'm waiting for too is to experience myself whether I can make the switch from a sports car convertible to a sports sedan. My local dealer also said 2 weeks or so for the demo car. |

April 27th is the official date. Some dealers already have them in the US but they are not allowed to put them on the lot, so they're inside.

Make sure to give us less fortunate members a writeup and some pics or videos when you go for your test drives. I won't be able to drive one until way after you guys (broke my leg) so it's all I got for now

It is my first Bimmer too, but I gone and ordered one anyway. This is due to the fact that lots of my friends are coworkers and have Bimmers and I have driven them all. 2004 M3, 2005 530, and 2004 330i. Lots of my friends have Mercedes-Benzs too, and I have also driven them, 2005 E55 AMG, 2005 C55 AMG, 2005 CLS500, 2005 E320, and finally my lady's car 2005 C230 Kompressor. From driving all of these, I believe that the BMW is well built car...Its Strong an durable with lots of features also found in the mercedes. Overall, I think the BMWs handle better and are more enjoyable to drive.
I initially was going to buy a Mercedez Benz E350 with all the options, AMG Kit, panoramic roof etc.....for $64K. I came to the conclusion that the BMW 2006 330i was a more practical car, that felt better to drive, more options, and 2/3 the price of the Mercedes. I instantly ordered the 330i. So in my opinion.....order it. It will be worh it...... |

The reason I'm going crazy over the wait to drive it is that I'm in Europe in June and I'd like to set up a Euro Delivery on the car so I can save some big bucks. And I know the ED needs at least a couple months lead time. Oh and I am coming from a '94 Integra. |
