Hard to remove OEM Aero lip?

I did a search but all I could find is how to remove the 3M residual on the paint, but how do I remove the front aero lip from the car? Is it going to be hard? Thanks!

Three bolts under on the bottom. one on each side and one in the middle will unhook it from the car but it all depends on what you used 3m tape or betalink.

was it put on by the factory / dealer, or yourself?

if it was the factory / dealer, it's bonded with betalink adhesive, and i don't think it's going to be easy to remove it.

if you did it yourself with 3m automotive tape, it won't be super easy, but some patience and some heat should help remove it from the car.

Hey thanks for the reply, I have not yet buy the lip yet, just want to know ahead that if it's hard to take it off, I will use 3M.
So Basically I'll need to unbolt it then use blow dryer? Can I not bolt the lip when I install it and just use the 3M? Do I have to drill holes?

mine is held on using 3m heavy duty tape and no other bolts. It's on there solid for almost a year now.

Cool... but do I have to drill holes on my OEM bumper for the bolts?

The holes of the aero lip match up with those from the bumper, so no drilling required. Before setting the lip onto the car with the 3M tape, first remove 3/4 bolts on the bottom where the holes match up on the lip. Place the lip using the tape, then screw in the bolts you had just taken out. It'll stay put.

Taking it out will be a pain in the ass (like the reflectors) but a bit of heat and patience and you'll be able to get it off. Just dont use betalink cause that'll be permanent.

^ What he said. 3M= painstaking but doable. Beta link= might as well just leave it on there because it's impossible to take off without damaging the paint.
