problem with my oil gauge
I have a e90 335i.
Last week, my oil engine light came on and it showed that I was under minimum level of oil after 12,000 miles. It showed +1, so I bought 1 quart of mobile 0w40 and poured it in. I turn on the car and now it shows that my oil level is at maximum. Does this look weird to anyone on here? -frank

No it's fine. Mine did the same thing. I think they set it up that way so even if you are just one quart low on oil you will get it topped up. Probably because the turbos use the oil also so you want to make sure u are always full.
