Interior Ambient Lighting

I was just watching a video on YouTube and I noticed the amount of ambient lighting along the dashboard and door cards is significantly less in the G42 than in any other Gxx BMW. Really disappointing to see that we got skipped on this feature.

Is there any way to add this lighting? Oddly enough, after BMW took the M Performance Carbon Interior Trim off of their port installed accessory list, I ordered one for myself and I think it has the strip for the light along the dash. My car is in production so I'm not able to mess around inside one. EDIT: Just checked, it does have the fiber optic tube.

Photo of G82 interior for reference:

tbh, does interior lighting really matter? all my cars never had it and the m240i will be my first one with it so I don't really care for it. but then again, it might be a game changer once I experience it.

I had a MB GLE for 2 weeks last fall and it had insane ambient lighting. It's just very cool, but aesthetics are subjective.

It's probably like that by design while driving to not be a distraction.

It's in car settings. I think it's called reduce at night or something like that.
