damn potholes

I was driving @ 65mph on I-95N and right before I took exit 28A, I hit this huge pothole that I was not aware of.
My gf screamed liked a b!tch and radio got shut off, moreover when I parked my car in my garage, I noticed the M-tech diffuser popped out.
I had a hard time putting back the CF diffuser back in place.
(you know duke dynamic's diffuser fits perfect)

be careful driving on these shitty roads. I destroyed a CSL front bumper on my e46 simply driving through the T lines running along commonwealth avenue, on the way to BC

That one scared the shit outta me the first time I saw it, luckily I had enough space to avoid it

Damn and I thought the roads here in Toronto were bad. I guess it's the same problem anytime you have a huge variance between hot and cold.

Did you folks opt for the tire / wheel warranty?

I hit one hard last month about a week before I changed over to my winter setup. Put a nice bubble in the RFT's sidewall. Looks like I'm buying a new set of non-runflat tires in the spring.

The amount of potholes everywhere around here is just stupid. I'm finding myself too scared to ever drive spiritedly for fear of bending a rim. Anyone ever driven through the nightmare that is Pleasant Street in Watertown? "Pleasant" Street, how ironic...

Right outside of Boston Medical Center on Albany St going towards I90/93 is also bad....... There are two fairly unavoidable pot holes, one by Cleveland Circle and the other one by the Landmark Center that I hate. Both of them caused damages to my front tires in the past.

What's the big deal with the RFTs? Why does everyone hate them so much?

There used to be a couple good ones on Route 16 east right in front of the new Station Landing place in Medford. I hit one of them in my 328xi a year or so ago and cracked the wheel. I had to get the car towed to BMW Peabody - total cost was like $850 for the wheel and RFT.

I tried to get it claimed through either the DRC or whatever it's called and/or the city of Medford, but both pointed fingers at the others for months, and nothing ever came of it. They eventually filled both holes in, but they've sunk and are starting to get pretty bad again.

At least with all the routes I drive, I know where the potholes are. It's the ones I'm not aware of when I'm driving in a new part of town that scare me.

These potholes are a major scam to keep the road crew from losing its job. Think about it, if we can put people in the moon, we should be able to come up with a more durable material to line road surfaces with.

I don't know the run flat saved me from sitting on the side of the highway waiting for a tow truck. Was able to drive to the dealer was actually glad the run flat was doing it's job.

In the City Sq tunnel, right? I drove through there quite often last year and I usually steer into the shoulder to get over those changes.

Big doozy of a pothole (or at least it looked like it) on McGrath heading away from Boston, sorta as you're driving by that MB dealership, left lane. I didn't see it until I was on top of it, and it was both a feeling of shitting myself and "what, why didn't I hit anything" at the same time.

It has been added to my mental list.
