Anyone want to guess the skidpad rating?

One thing we all love about the 3 Series is its handling. Anyone think that the e90 will surpass the .91g of the E46M3 or .90g of the Z4. I love being able to throw a car into a turn and have the grip just feel endless. Anyone think they can predict what the outcome of the new 3 will be? With and without the sports package?

Hmmm... That sure would be something if it surpassed the E46 M3...
Can't wait to find out.

I'd be pleasantly shocked if it was able to beat .91/.90, but you never know! I have much confidence in these BMW engineers.

Tires and the driver are the variables that count.

it's really all about tires,

AND the surface of the testing grounds

you can't compare the E90 numbers against the Z4 or M3 numbers unless they were all done under the same conditions

you can't take a motortrend number for one and a C&D number for another

The E90 should trail both the M3 and the Z4 in skidpad and slalom numbers but not by a ton

Remember the E46 was in the .85-.87 range (325i/330i), and this is a car much more comparable to the E90 than an M3 or Z4.

I thought the m3's skidpad rating and the e90's was on par?
