GP angle eye replacement = not on when you unlock?

First and foremost I am a noob when it comes to any DIY.

I installed GP for my angle eyes and cornering lights (but to me it seems like the daytime running lights). Now when I unlock my car the angle eyes don't light up temporarily like they use too.

Did this happen to anyone else? Did I do something wrong? Do they just not work when you take out the factory bulbs?

Yeah, the GP's aren't that bright, but they are the best you'll get for the money... even the kits that are $300 aren't much better than the GP's

That's slightly disappointing. It would be great if they glowed white/blue.

theyre most visible during dawn and dusk. gp's look great at that time. and yea theres no white angel eyes that are nearly as visible as the yellow oem bulbs in daylight. you can still see the gp's if you look directly at the front of the car.
