Where to have Passport 9500ci installed

After being pulled over for the -- well, let's just say too many-eth time in as many months, I'm thinking about getting the Passport 9500ci. Any thoughts on where to get this done locally? (Baltimore/DC/NoVa area)

djwang2000 - I am with Escort Inc, the manufacturer of the 9500ci. I would suggest that you try the authorized Passport 9500ci Dealer/Installers listed on our website. There is a drop down box on this page that lists installers in each state (address, phone no, etc).

http://www.escortradar.com/9500ci.htm

If you cannot find an installer there then I would suggest contacting some custom installation shops and talking to them. The 9500ci comes with very detailed manuals that are available to download for free if the shop would like to look them over and give you an estimate.

We also supply a 54 minute install DVD that is broken down into chapters for the different modules. You can call our support staff to order one if you would like, the number is on our website.

Also if you have not purchased one yet please be aware that any of our products purchased from auction sites will not be covered under warranty through us.

The 9500ci is an amazing product, one that we are very proud of, good luck with the install.

wow $1600 for the ultimate radar detector, not including labor for the install.

anyone know how well this thing works? i still love my V1 and at $400, it seems like a steal compared to this one (although it doesnt have all the bells/whistles).

i looked at the list of authorized installers and cant really vouch for any of them, although i found it kind of ironic that VOB BMW was on the list (not the most mod-friendly dealer). i guess they would know how to incorporate this thing into your car, but at $120+/hour, it can get pretty expensive. not sure how much those other places cost.

Hunter, I'm having a 9500ci installed in my E92 in the coming weeks.
I was planning on having my installer put the head and controls into the covered cubby in front of the shifter. Maybe even flush mount them in high density black foam in there.

If you have photos of control placement on the 3 series I'd love to see.

Gotta turn it off in VA which defeats the whole purpose. Escort redline and bel sti driver are the only ones that are undetectable.

Really? The Escort website says the 9500ci is undetectable.
