BMW USA just dropped the finance rates for MY 2009 let's see if Canada follows suit!

BMW USA just dropped the APR for MY 09 from %3.9 to %2.9 today! not sure about any changes on the lease rates south of the boarder though.
In Canada we're still being offered %8.9 lease rates( - %0.5 with royalty! wow! isn't that great!!! ) on MY 09 M3s!
As somebody who's professionally involved in securities and Real Estate investing, I'd really like to see how many vehicles they would be able to move with these Canadian-based rates in light of this current financial uncertainty!

Drop 'em Canada!

Personally I doubt it will drop anytime soon but you never know... anyone in the market for a 2009 should keep their fingers crossed.

Well, for sure they didn't hesitate to drop the rates south of the border 2 days into 09! and that is kind of unusual!

IMHO, they have to find a new strategy to move cars in 2009, and at this point they can't offer deep discounts on the price for obvious reasons, so the only incentive would be lowering the rates, and I guess once they flush out all their 08 inventory they're gonna get pretty aggressive on MY 09.

It's only interesting to see what's gonna happen!

Yeah, I'd guess that once the remaining 2008s are all gone the rates will come down a bit... but from what I can tell in Canada the rates on M cars have always been high aside from when they get dropped to clear out the previous year's stock.

The US market is a different story of course... but then again it always has been.

Speak of the devil, was just checking the BMW.ca site and it appears that BMW Canada has actually RAISED the lease/finance rates on 2009 M3s... from 7.9%/8.9% (finance/lease) as of the end of December to 8.25%/9.25%. Makes me feel even better about the deal I got on my 2008 E90 M3... 0.5% finance!

No kidding! I am guessing there is probably not a lot of inventory of M3's around - will be interesting to see what they do come spring.

OT- did you ever get around to installing the front and side grills on your car Vise?

Yeah, its looking like there won't be many 2009s in stock in Canada, as I suspected I think most will be factory orders going forward... makes jumping at the chance to grab one of the last 2008s at a steal of a price look even smarter if I do say so myself.

As for me, yeah front grilles were installed a day or two after I got the car and got the side gills installed about a week or so ago once I figured how to do it. Even though I've washed it 4 times already (and I park in a garage at home) my car is filthy so haven't had a chance to snap any good pics yet. Also got it tinted just before Xmas (35% Formula One Pinnacle) so need to take some clean shots of the total package as it stands so far. Looks damn nice if you ask me though.

I am glad I didnt wait until spring to move on an M3. The .5% is certainly looking like a steal!

I am loving the SG, but compared to the TiAg it certainly shows the dirt alot more. Make sure you post some pics when you get a chance! Tint must look good!

My 325i was SG, love the colour especially when freshly washed/detailed. I found it wasn't that bad for showing dirt personally... certainly not as bad as my wife's black Benz B200 Turbo. Black car + street parking = disaster... and of course I'm in charge of keeping the cars clean.

Sad but true!

I was at my dealership yesterday when I found out about it!
The previous rate promotion is expired, but my dealer told me that they are waiting for a possible regional program.
Interesting to let you guys know that there are about 47 09 cabs available!

My work is tough 'cause I need a DCT, I've driven manual all my teenage years through mid twenties! But I think I suck at it!
I think I won't be enjoying the car to the fullest if I got a manual, considering getting stuck in T.O.'s traffic often!

You guys got great deals for sure!
All the best to you guys.
