New to BMW, Angel Eyes question
I got my first 335i the other day and i want to change the color of my angel eyes. I saw on some of these forums people have these bright white angel eyes that look really nice, i dont know much about these so can someone help me which light is the best product and how would i go about installing them. I heard that gp thunder 8500 k is the best. Also do i have to take out the whole light fixture or just change the bulbs. THANK YOU!

The first & most obvious question everyone will ask is, did you get the 335i coupe (E92), sedan (E90), convertible (E93), or possibly the wagon (E91)?
From there, you'll be able to pin-point yoru search and find out what bulbs fit your car and see what looks & works better. |

With an E90, you will have to get an LED solution. I have the PIAA which I really like. LUX are apparently the brightest. RD is ok too, but the ones I had (before PIAA) gave me an error. I have an 07.
There are instructions on how to change in the DIY section. Pretty straight forward. Plus, any vendor that you get angel eye LED's from should be able to provide you with install instructions. |

We offer the MyCarr LED Angel Eye Upgrade which is an LED based replacement module for your factory headlights. This replaces the halogen based unit with an LED system that changes the color to a more pure xenon white. The wiring and installation is all plug and play so it is a straight forward install.

thats correct gp thunders are probably the most popular bulbs on e90post but since you have a e90 sedan, your only choice is led's

If you get LED's then the rings will be more even and brighter.

if you're looking to buy lighting accessories for your car, i would definitely go with e92-lighting. Got my first pair of GP thunders AE from him and was very satisfied so i decided to buy my RD AE from him again. In a month or two I will get my d1s hid bulbs from him also. Of all the AE vendors i dealt with I received the best price (pm him) and customer service!!

Also new here and I have a couple questions concerning the angel headlights...
The stock assembly does not have the ring within it. When looking up information the PIAA's and Lux's it seems its just the bulb...is there a ring included or was a new headlight assembly purchased? Oh, also would the HID light kits work well with the angel setup? |

It sounds like you have the standard halogens. Unfortunately these headlights are not compatible with the angel eye upgrades as these are designed for cars with factory angel eyes. There are no kits out there that retrofit rings into your existing housings. You can retrofit HIDs into your current housings but I don't recommend it as you will get glare and uneven light dispersion from the reflector based halogens.

So the only way to go about getting angel eyes in the 2006 325i's is to buy the whole headlight assembly? Something like the link below (are these any good?) or would you recommend just buying xenon OEM headlights. Ebay Auction |
