A/C delete

Using the attached photo, please tell me if my pully labeling is not correct:

1. A/C Compressor Pully
2. Power Steering Pump Pully
3. Adjusting Pully
4. Deflection Pully
5. Water Pump Pully
6. Crank Pully
7. Adjusting Pully
8. Alternator Pully

If you wanted to delete the A/C compressor you could remove 1, the compressor, 4, and get a shorter belt? Is that correct.

This is hypothetical, I am not performing this.

Credit for the photo goes to the guys getting the stroker kit.

I am thinking about trading my car in for a stripped m3 and then doing some of these dietary things to it.

I dont see the point in stripping a car that has all the options that I put on mine.

What? AC systems really don't weight much.

I would guess around 10 lbs total.

I remove the ac from an e46 m3 before and it was 37lbs.

I think e92 is about the same 37-40lbs

Thinking of doing this as well to my e92 m3

Hy Guys, iīm new to here. But actual building a dedicated BMW E92 M3 Stagerally car, so i really donīt need AC... My plan was to remove the AC Comp and find a shorter belt. (and of course all the ac lines, radiator and so on) Has anyone done it like this and can tell me if everthing works properly?

Some pics of it - this week engine - gearbox - fuel system - suspension and so on comes in...

The belt depends on the date of manufacture of the car, since the design changed around 4/2008 (IIRC). I've done it with no problems on an early build car (1/2008). A 6PK815 belt ended up being just right for that application after some trial and error. Two seasons (~45+ track days) and no problems.
