435d M Sport Front Brake Pad Options
Hello all,
Appreciate the questions been asked before, whats the consensus on front brake pads, Textstar, Pagid, Jurid, Bosch or Brembo, I cant seem to source Texstar or ATE, though the others seem readily available, I have never used these brands before, appreciate your views Many thanks |

The standard M3/M4 brake pads were made by Textar.
Probably the cheapest good quality road use pads available. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353484373...mis&media=COPY

I swear by Hawk 5.0 as the best street pads in the US. About $220/set in US, but if you can find them in Europe they would cost much more. I still think that they are worth it. If I was in Europe I’d be considering Ferodo or Brembo pads. Make sure to do your research to choose their model of pad that is best for your usage. |

I've been going through the same thoughts recently & have stuck with OEM BMW pads (made by Jurid) for the time being and will see how they are... If not impressed I'll probably go with the recommendations on the thread I started re brake pads... These: https://www.brakingupgrade.co.uk/pro...26bhp~wc_front For now; happy to see how the OEM ones go, more so as I managed to find them via a reseller on eBay for £90 delivered (BMWminiparts) - new & boxed Cotswolds BMW quoted me £120 IIRC with the forums discount; think they're offering 25% off for service parts currently though, so worth enquiring IMO |

Textar, ATE & Jurid are OEM; all can be found on Autodoc easy enough and if you're not in a rush; then hard to beat (delivery times aren't great) Williams Performance seem to be well thought of too But for every day road driving, which is what we do, then TBH, OEM will more than likely be spot on, more so as I wash the car nigh on weekly and the alloys are generally ceramic coated too, which helps to stave off the brake dust bedding on too much |

Erm yeah... Which brakes do you have? I have the Blue Brembo brakes with 370/345mm discs front/rear; yours will be the same won't they? PN 8: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=34_2012 |

TRW Cotec (low dust) every day of the week.
I have changed to these on my other two cars (including discs), and they both have far better braking than the 440 which I haven't changed yet. My Z4 with much smaller calipers and discs than my (blue) 440 has massively better brakes with the TRW fitted. They also wear really well and don't suffer from the typical BMW disc corrosion. |
