Long time forum member here and have been reading anything I can find to self-answer my questions. I have searched through many threads and read the press releases for the LCI to note changes.

Currently driving 2020 540i (with one notable change of digital dash that made in MY2020). Minor issues so far with the vehicle, none major to point out specifically except moonroof rattle, A/C whining, iDrive blackout once in a while. I have my doubts on reliability and longevity as the car ages. ~20K miles on ODO.

Interested to hear first hand from 'owners' (leasing or buying), if they feel any difference in driving impressions...

• Handling -- I came from an F10 535i and that car felt way more planted and inspired confidence, ever since I got my G30 540i its felt lighter (good), but never felt as confident on the road in terms of handling. Both with M sports packages. Its been my gripe since day1, is it steering or generally the weight of the car - perhaps its the crappy Bridgestone Turanza summer perf. tires that came from factory.
  
• M-Steering -- has LCI brought in VSS (Variable sports steering) as standard on the M-sport Pk that was NOT part of the pre-LCI M-steering wheel? (It seems not present on my vehicle)
  
• Does mild hybrid 48V intro to the G30 LCI (540i only) make the car feel any different?
  
• Any notable improvements in the LCI? (There is always something under the hood not listed/released), curious if first hand there have been observations.
  
• I am experiencing some bumpy rides on the freeway lately, not sure if I am getting more sensitive to the M-sport suspension, the roads here in CA are becoming worse or its a combination of all including the struts & suspensions showing their age rather too soon.
  

Appreciate info from folks who have owned both versions. I am debating whether to order an LCI vehicle or not, it's an aging design which is less of a concern.
