Has anyone used a valvetronic universal muffler for there 540 or 550?

I am looking at exhausts and thought about just buying the universal muffler and going to a shop and doing a straight pipe with that muffler added and then buying my own quad tips.

I know the Remus and other are pretty good but they are wildly expensive. I do like the idea of quiet or loud when I want as well.

Plan to eventually do a catted or catless DP. Haven’t made my mind up yet. Always ran catless on my n55 and e46 m3. Both of them have since been sold.

Any experiences or recommendations welcome

Nah haven’t done anything. I’m more then likely just going to get the mad muffler. A lot of people have been going with the Chinese exhausts of Alibaba but the bends look terrible and I rather deal with a US company with a reputation for warranty and future issues

You mean the same company that just drop ships from China? Yeah, those companies. Right?

Yes but if there’s an issue your dealing with a US company that has a reputation to uphold

I have been dealing direct with these Chinese manufacturers now and the service and support has been top-notch.

BayOptiks, which is a us company that just drop ships their headlights from china. For the last 5 months, i have been dealing with them regarding a shipment of replacements due to the driver side not adjusting. I still have not received a new set.

So much for the support “and a reputation to uphold”

I am in the process of just going to their supplier and returning the headlights because its a mess. Anyway, the “local” support thing is null an void now. These Chinese suppliers want your money and will bend over backward for you.

I have been so impressed. I sourced the Vossen wheel manufacturer and now have a set of custom wheels on the way. All from
China.

All i am saying is keep an open mind. These companies have been finessing us for years.
