Transmission question

First, I am new to euro cars so forgive me lack of knowledge.

Curious to learn more about the 6-speed manual trans. bmw plans to employ in the new 1 series. If you could give me a model I would like to reasearch it a bit. I am guessing it is similar if not the same trans. used in other bmw models with the 6-speed. If this is the case does anyone have an idea of how much power can the trans. can handle and how durable is the clutch from the factory?

I'm curious too - I read in a review that the 6-speed is actually different than that in the 335i - is that true?

ZF manual box in the 135i, IIRC same as the ZF in the 335i. Suspect same gear ratios through final drive.

I felt the difference between the 135 and 335 6-speeds were slightly different. The shift throw is definitely shorter in the 135. The clutch take-up is the same but the clutch travel seemed just a tad shorter in the 135, though I don't know why that would be since this part is identical to the 335.
