interesting comparison... maybe that spacing is for owners to install the eyelids?

Thats has got to the the WORSE angle for this car. The head on shot.

Every other angle I like or can deal with. Its an combination of the headlights and the tallish narrow look. Hopefully a darker color helps mask this a little.

I'm not a huge fan of the E92, but the front of the 1-Series makes the E92 look really good. The 1er headlights are the only drawback.

I'm okay with it, but I'm okay with cats as well. And since you drive a kitten I surprised that you have a problem with it.

That made me lol.

I was hoping for upper and lower eyelids, so you could have the "dimpled" look like this

I can see the mid-cycle refresh will be primarily to the front fascia nd headlights. No idea why they just didn't use the e92 headlights/fascia.

I am glad the didn't use the e92 headlights/fascia. The last thing I need while driving around in my 135i are people saying look at the baby 3!

I would rather have them say, "Look at that small, faster than a missile, bright eyed race car!"

From the two pictures Bmmr_razr posted, the 135i has a sort of jovial wide-eyed innocence with a hint of trickster. The 335i is more sinister. If these photos had sub-titles, these cars would be saying:

135i: "Ooops! Did I just steal your ice-cream? <big grin>"

335i: "grrrrr... you just stole my ice-cream. You better run."

I'd like to see the side view for those eye lids. I think the big eyed headlights of the 135i is distracting in the profile view also.

So you haven't had the pleasure of seeing the Hyundai inspired rear view yet?

I don't care what anyone says, the headlights on the 135 are just crap. Designed to be less attractive than the rest of the family on purpose! That's obvious. Thankfully I'm not shallow and I know real beauty is more than just skin deep. I still can't wait to get it. Come on December!!!

What I did notice in the comparison and is a definite advantage for the 1er is the rear wheel wells. Look at the picture again, and look at the level of flare on the 1er. That's nice. It's like it has hips.

Just a quick & dirty PS, but even a little tweek of the design changes the look considerably.

- headlights shifted out board
- more angle beside grill
- hood & fender brought down
(the bottom curve could also be brought up a little)

^ meh still looks ugly. I think the best thing so far to change it is still the eyelid and then a different front lip.

That's not the dumbest thing I've read on the internet, but it's pretty close.
