It may just be the quality of the pics, but I'm not feeling it at all.

Based upon the pics from the BMW German configurator site it does look more like the Montego Blue.
Wow... this color sure is polarizing. People seem to either love it or hate it. Oh maybe it's just the web, which rarely brings out middle-of-the-road opinions. I like it, but that said I'm not sure if that's color I would choose for my 1er. YMMV. |

First of all, there's just too much blue in the world, its simply overused. And that's a fact you can look up in the library of congress. Second, that very pure color makes the whole car look like its made of plastic.
Vibrant shades like that always remind me of those god awful brightly colored injection molded plastic toys for infants and toddlers. Not a look I want to emulate on my car....sorry. |

Of course, I'm probably going to order mine in Sparkling Graphite, but I still think color is a good thing. And that blue is still hot. |

Definitively, it is Montego. Le Mans is darker.
You can find some photos of the 1er hatchback in Le Mans blue in the following URL: http://www.km77.com/00/bmw/1/g01.asp |

I do not know. It is very hard to say with different lighting conditions. The hatchback in the photo is Le Mans blue for sure since it comes with the M Pkg. and Montego is not available in combination with the M Package in the 1er (until the 135i appeared).
There you can find a 3er Coupe which is for sure Montego blue (no M-Pkg.): http://www.km77.com/marcas/bmw/2007/.../coupe/g02.asp |

Lighting, camera settings, computer settings, etc. can dramatically affect how an image looks on your computer. I dont really like the look of this Montego Blue on this and think it will definitely look better in person. However, Le Mans Blue will favor this car more, IMO.

Guys,
I know for a fact that the color code on my RX-7 is Montego blue. The dark green really comes out in the day time. This is a factory Mazda color. Are there different variations of Montego Blue? |
