Dinan 135 products
Called Dinan and got on the list to receive their 135 goodies as soon as they are available. ECU tuning, intake, exhaust, suspension...all will be available...all will be $$$. You gotta love the warranty against "consequential damage", though.

Should be a no brainer for Dinan. All they have to do is offer a discount to members of the forum for their products and in turn we can splash their advertizments all over the forum.

Im going to wait on buying my 135, because i want to see what kinda of aftermarket there is going to be before i purchase.(i think it needs a new front look, mabye a bowser hood would correct the awkward shape of the headlights) But im in no rush... just bout a 01 E46 M3 Leguna Seca/cinn. about 5 months ago. Take a long moment to think of why this site has no sponsors. I doubt its a single person doing it out of the kindness of their heart. The devil is in the details.

No 'visible' sponsors, no 'tip-jar', nada. And the implications of that are interesting. If I were to put my SWAG hat on, I'd say BMW contracted a group to do this site - BMW seems to be very adroit at knowing how information spreads in this day and age. They seem to be using 'new media' better than most car companies. One 'tell' for how BMW has been dealing with the media is the fact that there didn't appear to be any 'long lead' press launch for the car. The Europeans get the 135 next month and the journalists are just now getting their hands on it. Monthly magazines have two month lead times (at least) before articles appear. Another implication, that is a bit of a concern, is what happens to this community after the launch of the car? Does the site stay up - do the 'owners' go after sponsorship - does the 'unseen' sponsor remain, helping to pay bills? So many questions, so few answers. ; -) But to return this to 'on-topic', I'd be interested in Dinan's products for this car - they seem to have a very good reputation. |

Back on topic.... I thought BMW ended their relationship with Dinan, thus no more warranty support for them? Isn't that what the performance catalog is for? |

Ahh, thats exactly what I was getting at Hugo! I'm pretty sure were mice running around a nice laboratory cage. Its not that big of a deal to me just as long as I'm a happy well-fed mouse and up to this point I'm doing okay.
