Catless Downpipes and O2 Sensor Spacer
Hi all. Newbie here. I have a 2018 M550i that I just bought VRSF Dp's for. I had a 2014 435i that I bought a catless dp for and I bought a Bigdaddies garage O2 spacer since the JB4 wasn't auto clearing the CEL.
My question. Will buying O2 sensor spacesr work so it doesn't throw the CEL in the 550? I have a JB4 and I know I can go onto the app and clear the code that way. But really don't want to worry about that all the time. Especially if I go in for my yearly inspection (in NYS) and it happens to come on while being inspected. And if so, I'm going to assume install is still post cat sensors? Thanks in advance |

I do not recall ever reading anyone using O2 spacers to circumvent the CEL. So I highly doubt it is an option. Most people with catless DP's have a bench or ECU tune and their tuner codes out the CEL in the ECU/DME. Probably not much help, but that FB group has a much different member profile than this place. I am sure they will take you to school. Either of these: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1536867633041770 https://www.facebook.com/groups/2440451019554403
