This is so fun following the 335i aftermarket developing products which we should be able to use on the 135i. |

race gas and SAE corrected graph is just shy of 400hp. still very impressive, but anything achieved on 98 octane is virually worthless to the vast majority of owners who will run this solely on 91/93.

The amazing thing about this news is that the runs were done with just a cat-back exhaust and the piggyback computer with the torque curve dialed back at the lower RPMs. 100% torque at low RPMs will see the wheel TQ go over 450lb-ft!
Guys who are running a FMIC and TBE will see horsepower well over 400 at the wheels! |

Intercoolers dont produce hp. It is possible that they free up a few with better flow but the real benifit is in the fact that that keep the intake air cooler and keep hp from decreasing due to heatsoak.

It kills me that the car isn't even out yet, and everyone wants more HP :eyebulge:

well that's the same with alot of cars, i for instance will enjoy the stock HP for about a month then i will get greedy as usual and the hunt for more power will begin, especially when it comes to track use. i personally am buying this vehicle for it's potential not it's luxury, for others this is the complete opposite and the HP stock will be more than enough for them. |

I'm sorting out the suspension wheels and tires first, before I put more hp in an already fairly potent car. A stock suspended/shod 135i with 450hp at the crank is probably a pretty dangerous car, in my very honest opinion. |

Well worded. I could not agree more. The 1st thing I'm installing is a Quaife LSD.

The stock intercooler looks suprisingly well designed on the N54 actually. OEM endtanks and piping usually arent "pretty", but the internal volume on the OEM core looks really generous.

The Spearco inlet/outlet angle is off considerably from OE. Potential fitment problem?

Fitment might not be an issue, if you look at a diagram of the stock plumbing. One side of the stock plumbing has a flex hose, adn the other side already has a 90deg fitting that appears to be removable.
