Will us Aussies get the BMW performance catalogue?

The brakes, carbon mirror/rear diffuser/interior looks rather tasty!

Not a fan of the seats or the steering wheel. And the wheels are a bit nasty too (imagine cleaning them!)

Very good question. I am keen too. But with the carbon stuff, I think we can just buy from the states and it will be cheaper as usual. Not sure about the brakes. I am sure I can source you some AP Racing stuff cheaper than these, and more powerful. The seats are neither here nor there for me. While it looks good, if I am changing seats I will go for a one piece carbon seat. But that will only happen if I decide to turn this into a track car.

Yep I hear you. I like the carbon look and yeah, given our dollar im sure we'll see the kits out soon enough. I like the brake caliper color - don't care too much for the drilled discs.

Yep seats look mega $ and your racing seat would be better.. I'll have to ask the dealer and show him the pictures/catalogue.. Hasn't been mentioned around the traps though

yeah, i'm really interested in upgrading the brakes in the 125i to those in the 135i... if we don't get the genuine performance parts i may look at retrofitting some brembos or ap's on there?

Also, when it comes time to change the runflats i'll probably look at putting standard 255s on the rear and 225s on the front.

It is definately going to be available in Australia. There is a really cool steering wheel that allows you to measure you quarter mile stop start times, stop watch, gear shift display etc, nice seats, full spoiler kit, Air intake, gear shift etc etc. All parts will be available, public release next month at the launch (Melbourne) at Phillip Island, costs aren't available to me yet,,,,, thats what i'm afraid of though

Eureka, thanks! I am not happy with BMW. They told me it won't be available, but here it is! However, with the spoilers and mirror cap, we are still better of with Drew though. I want the seat, but $4k a pop? No thanks. And Kris, you can now get your wheels and brakes.

No worries. In the past I've got a lot of useful info off this forum so I'm glad I've been able to help on this occassion.

Yes, (probably as expected) the Oz prices are pretty high. With the strength of the A$ against the US$ it makes sourcing this stuff from the US a much cheaper option at the moment.

Apparently the dealers are getting together and driving the 135s next week etc - and they will also be given more info about these performance products then.

I've seen a picture, i'm trying to find out about the software required and if i currently have the ability to retro fit it like i do for most other BMW retro kits. Information is slow on the ground until the release i'm afraid.

I don't know how to post pics and files here but i would expect one of you guys would know! :iono:

The release is May for the products, i am still awaiting what software upgrades are required and also if new airbags have to be fitted with the sttering wheel and or seats upgrade.

Information is still slow to come but as soon as i know, i'll pass it on.

Apparently some of the items won't be available from the start because they're still going through ADR approval. (I'm guessing this may include the exhaust as there's been no mention of it so far).

I think it is actually a combo of the two isn't it? And btw, you lose your electric seat I think if you go with this seat option. I don't know why the heck it is so expensive. You do know that this is actually a Recaro seat? Yes, airbags and all. Go to the recaro site, it's there. I bet you it cost half the price but of course it doesn't have the feel good "BMW Performance" words stiched into it.
