Billstein Ride-Control Coilovers Thread

Im interested in these bad boys:
- Bilstein B16 Ridecontrol® Electronically Adjustable Coil-Over Kit -
This thread is meant to keep updated on the status of their availability and who will sell these to U.S. buyers..
Last i heard they are available for 3 series but nothing about 1 series...Anyone have any insight into their availability for the 1 series?

According to the German Bilstein website, the RideControl coilovers now exist for the E82…No info as to who sells them or if they are yet available in the U.S.

Bilstein Part No. 009647

Yes, looks like it's similar to the EDC option in the E92 M3 and is found in the Nissan GT-R. But instead of 3 settings, there looks to be only two.

From European Car Magazine:
"Ever wish for a suspension with a dual personality? One that's comfortable for everyday driving yet, in a fraction of a second, has the ability to tackle whatever is around the next corner? For lucky late-model BMW 3 and 5 Series owners, Bilstein has released Ridecontrol: electronically controlled shocks which do just that

Key features:
*Monotube/inverted technology features wear-resistant chromium tubes
*Cockpit-mounted control allows driver to switch between Normal and Sport mode
*30 to 50mm front and rear axle lowering
*Inverted shock design helps distribute lateral g-forces over a wide area, increasing stability
$3,150"

One of the site supporters at 6speedonline, www.gmpperformance.com , appears to have them for the 3-Series.

not sure about the ride control but i know the pss10 will be out shortly. pretty sure that's what I'll be putting on my car. I think they should eventually have the ride control because the e92 suspension is nearly identical to our 1ers

I contacted a couple of people today at Bilstein and they say we might have to wait a couple of months for the specific pss10's for 1'er. They don't recommend using either the pss10's or pss10's with electronic ride control which are designed for the 335i coz of diff suspension setups and spring rates.

I'm personally using witch ever pss10 comes out first E92 or E82 the main difference is stiffer springs so I'm game for that. my local distributor is going to call me when they get one in.

Looks like a place called BeastPower Motorsports in Mountain View, CA, has these in stock. $2945.
http://www.beastpower.com/Merchant2/...steincoilovers

Their listing for the E90/E92 shows a different part number, but in this German Bilstein brochure, they share the same number.
http://www.delta-motor.ch/ger/Produk...ontrol2008.pdf

Turner has them on sale for the E90/E92 at $2549.

Although im the OP..ive deserted any idea of buying these due to the cost. Instead I bought PSS10's. The Ride-Control's cost about a $1300 premium over the PSS10's from my searches..im not willing to pay for that just to have adjustibility on the fly...probably won't use it much anyways.. I'll put that money back into my account for the couple tickets i already have from driving the 135 and for the tune...
