My 128i Cabrio is here.................

Well, not here, here,,, but here - somewhere on this ship the Otello.

Here's the ship's schedule. She should be in Halifax on the 12th of March.. I just hope she doesn't run into an iceberg or a U-boat wolfpack...

Is it just the picture or is that not a very big freighter? Congratulations...your day is getting closer.

If you go to the WW Logistics shipping website they report that they loaded 417 BMW onto the Otello in Bremerhaven on Feb 27th & 28th..
She was built in 1992 with 52,500 gross tonnage, which is equal to approx 5.2 million cubic feet of enclosed space on the vessel.
I don't know if that is small or large for a Cargo ship, but must be enough to hold 417 Bimmers, eh?

I guess it is hard to tell from the picture but 417 cars takes up lots of room so that must be a big ship. I know I have seen the huge freighters that come into the docks in Richmond with the Japanese cars and they are absulutely massive. I have seen one close to a BC ferry and it made the ferry look small. I think you get a different perspective when so see two ships side by side or a ship up close in real life.
