Canadian pricing?

I made my first trip to a BMW dealership yesterday to take a quick look at the 128i (135's are not in yet) and was very impressed even though I didn't have time for a testdrive. The SA gave me a brochure on the car and also photocopies of his price list including the options. At the top of each page it has 3 prices for each version of the car.

Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price

Manufacturer's Suggested Tourist Price

Manufacturer's Suggested Diplomat Price

I'm assuming at this point almost everyone is paying close to MSRP but I'm wondering if these other prices will come into effect somewhere down the road.

Any ideas?

MSRP - What you pay
Tourist - European Delivery
Diplomat - Will you ever be one?

^^^
They could come into play if you want ED or become a diplomat. If not, you're only looking at the MSRP.

Yes. I confirmed with my dealer but he hasn't done one in years.

The SA at Brian Jessel said it could be set up - he states he has a client that works in Europe for six months of the year so when he exports the car back home it is classified as a used vehilce - saves on duty - haven't verified if this is true though

Used vehicles are also subject to 6.1% duty, unless thay are made in North America. You will also pay $100 excise tax for air conditioned equipped cars.
