135i cabrio + hockey

hey fellow 1addicts, first post

so yea, I absolutely fell in love with this car (thanks 1addicts.com) even after being absolutely set on the 335i cabrio for the last 3 months, good thing I didn't place my order in early January.

One question i have of my fellow residents of hockey country (i know cabrios aren't very practical, but gf loves it to death), will/can I fit a full sized hockey bag in either the trunk of back seat of the 1? I know it fits in the 3 series (yes I actually brought my bag to brian jessel to try it, and salesman looked at me like O___O)

but knowing that the 1 is much smaller than the 3, I'm skeptical as to whether it fits or not. I'd put a blanket down in the back seat as to avoid scratching the leather of course .

Did you try the trunk? There is way more room in the 1'er Cabrio trunk than in the 335. You shouldn't need to use the backseat. Besides, the backseats are almost exactly the same size (the 1'er actually has more rear headroom). Try it, you'll see.
I put two carry on suit cases in the trunk of the 128 Cabrio @ BJ today and also got some strange looks. I told them I was sick of waiting for my car and I was moving in until it came.

I've been waiting since the end of January. My car is waiting for the boat. The car will be worth every second of the wait

Your equiptment should fit but your stick will need to go into the car. It looks to be around the same size as my RSX type S and hockey bag fits it with no problems.

Are you a goalie? If not you should be fine... I've seen shots of the 1er with 2 good-sized golf bags in the trunk, so it should hold a regular-sized hockey bag.

I'm not a goalie no, got called in for work so that nulled my planned trip to brian jessel. and yes, i'm sure the new car smell will quickly be negated by stinky hockey gear

It's a full sized wheel bag, but looking at the dimensions I think it should fit fine, I'll find out on sunday. Anyone else here faced with this dilemma?

Back in the days when I had a Mini Cooper S, I was able to fit my hockey equipment in the trunk without needing to fold down the rear seats. It needed a little push to go in but the trunk always closed fully!

I would think that it could work in the 1 series cabriolet!

The trunk of my Mini is waaaaaaaaay smaller than the trunk on the 135 Cabrio.

I throw the hockey gear in my car all the time! I looked at a G37 coupe and there was no way any hockey bag was fitting in that trunk! I figure the 135 trunk will be fine for my gear but I don't think I could take 2 sets of full adult gear in the trunk.

it fits, with space to spare too! i think I can actually fit two full sized hockey bags in the trunk with some squeezing (roof up)

so for you fellow residents of hockey world, fear not the convertible is ok too!
