135 with CSL style wheels...

Hey guys,
Just playing with some other wheel options, and the idea of 19s on the car. 18s just don't fill the wheel wells in enough for me... Performance may suffer, but the looks don't.

Looks great. But when you get 19's instead of 18's, the height usually stays the same. The sidewall changes. Like 225/35/19 and 255/30/19. You will have to slam the car like the picture to fill the wheel gap, either with 18's or 19's. I guess you could go a little taller, which would probably be the case. But that pic sure looks awesome even though I LOVE the 264's. I will keep the 18" 264's personally. Since I will need a set of winter wheels/tires here in northern IL. Probably Dunlop M3 snows, 205/50/17" all around.

19" CSL wheels are my plan unless something comes around that's better. I'm a big fan of OEM+ styling.

I think the sport package 18" are awesome looking. I will keep them. I was never into "bling!" multi spoke wheels.

YAH, every time I go look at the black 135i demo I just look and can't move. I love the OEM 18's. I want it now. 309 days before ordering, crap. NOT like the OEM wheels on my 07 TL-S, YUK. Plus the 264's will be very easy to clean.

Does anyone know if the offset and bolt pattern will work with OEM ZCP wheels (comp package wheels) work on the 135?

These are better than CSL's since they're forged and only about 20 lbs for 19's.

Front wheel fitment warning!

Be very, very careful when choosing aftermarket front wheel/tire fitments. To my surprise, an 18x8.5 et44 wheel fitted to the front of my 135i had ~1mm clearance on the steering arm and shock strut, inadequate for safe street use, IMO. Moreover, the wheel extended beyond the outside of the front fender, inviting fender lip damage, and preventing spacer use to cure the inside clearance issue. An 8" wide front wheel may be the maximum problem-free street fitment, and then only if offset is test fit first (40 - 45?).

Test fit your choice of wheel/tire front fitment before buying to be safe.

Was there room for fender rolling?

If you want the absolute widest combo without resorting to spacers, wait until Dinan releases their forged wheels for the 1. Usually they can run the widest possible wheels and tires because of the custom offset wheels. But mega-$$$$, obviously.

The front fender lip is already angled up. More like a 'V' than an 'L'. You can always use the fender roller to flatten the lip and even 'pull' the fender out somewhat. But that's pretty radical.

Im running BMW M3 competition (CSL) rims on my e87.
BMW M3 competition (CSL) 8x19, 235/35, ET 47 (400$ each).

Theres only 2-3mm distance between tire and shocks.
Worked fine for the last 20k Miles.

I tried 10mm spacers front/back, but it didnt fit (rubbing).
Now im gonna get 3 spacers front/back.

End of May I can show you pictures..
