Stationary rev sounds great. But why would he make the video in-car but no WOT? What gives? Anyway, hopefully you could correct this minor flaw.

Isn't there some sort of heat soak involved with it being open like that?

I would want something similar to the ultimate racing intake for the 335i.

That is what I am holding out for. Might as well get the coldest air possible.

Guys keep in mind cold air is not as important in a turbocharged engine. Cold air is important in NA engines. Besides I have that nice beefy AA FMIC to help me cool the charge. Have you guys ever seen the crazy 1000hp supras with a cold air intake? I sure have not seen too many. Look at where they put the filter... see below. How hot do you think the air that those filters are pulling in is??? These things are directly on the turbo!!!! I am petty sure the volume of air is more important than the temperature of the air when it comes to FI engines.

Piece of cake as long as you remove the cowl to get access to the back clip. Its a 20 minute job. I have taken my airbox out like 5 times. I can do it in about 5 minutes now.

I thought there might be at first, but after a lot of IAT testing post intercooler there doesn't seem to be any disadvantage VS. the stock airbox setup in terms of temperature. The turbo/intercooler really level out any pre-turbo temp variations. And it is still able to draw air from the snorkel.
