Bluetooth Problem

OK. I have a bluetooth compatable phone, which was easily paired with my cars system and when paired works great. So far, so good.
But they keep "un-pairing" (if that's a real word).
I've had my car since March 18th and since then I've had to re-pair my phone about 5 times.
This is easy to do but it's a pain in the butt............
Any thoughts as to why this is happening or is anyone else having this problem? :iono:

You need to check with http://wireless4bmw.com to see if your phone is an approved model.

If it's an approved phone and it keeps unpairing, there might be a problem with the TCU. Take it to the dealership, and they'll figure out what's wrong. Make sure you give them your phone model, its software level, and your service provider. If you can leave the phone, that would make it a lot easier to diagnose.

I had the same exact issue with my e90 330i bluetooth, when it was new. It kept unpairing randomly. I brought it in, and the dealer fixed it. If it can pair and function correectly, it should not unpair, regardless if it is on an "approved list" or not.

Thanks......that gives me hope that it can be fixed.

You need to ensure that the bluetooth in your phone is 'always on' so it automatically registers with your car. Otherwise you manually have to turn bluetooth on when your phone loses its connection to the car. This will drain battery more quickly, but its stopped the same problem in father's merc.
