My (Really) Black Hamann PART II (Details)
Hi all,
Thank you all for your comments in the last post. I understand that some of you might actually hate it. It's really a car that you neither hate it or love it. But at the end of the day .. it's my car and that's ... simply ... ME. My car might be a bit too dark to see in the last post. I've took some more pics today, of some details of all the mods. - Custom Hood Vents (left side revealing carbon air intake). - Custom Brake Ducts (built on standard bumper) - Custom Tinted headlights, rear lights and side indicators. - Custom painted door sills, side mirror holders and nose intakes. - Custom painted car antenna and it's holder. - Custom painted 19" wheels. - Custom painted engine cover. - Custom black BMW badges. - Full Hamann bodykit and performance exhaust system. - Grouppe M. - Alpine sound system (1 x head unit screen, 2 x headrests screens, 2 x Amps and 1 x Sub). - Other bits and pieces. Enjoy. Just to answer a question I got in my inbox. The lights tinting are done by professional using airbrush and coating used on car body, done from outside so it can be polished. Will come back with any update later. 66. |

its a bit too much black for my tastes. a little contrast is good. I wouldve left all the lighting components alone (headlights/tailights/etc), but thats obviously the look you were going for.
the work looks pretty well done. Everything looks really clean. I love the kit and rims. nice work. |

It should be fine at night. I'm sure the LED taillights and HID headlights can overcome the tint that was applied to them. It might not be legal in some places, but I don't see any reason why it couldn't be effectively driven at night. Nate

Sawadee! Now that's black! The interior must get extremely hot in Thailand...

@silverbullet135i: I think Hamann does make that lip spoiler...but Hamann is waaaay over-priced.
Clean work, but it definitely needs some contrast. Most human's are stimulated by contrast...that is why you see most vehicles with some type of contrast instead of just grey or black, etc, etc...with a coral red interior or Terra, and maybe some gun-metal or hyper-black rims would be enough to get that contrast. |
