There have been several sightings over the last year or so but this just seems to be the latest one. We can all just hope and pray it means they are seriously considering bringing it states side.

Yes bring it over here. For those who have sat in one, how's the rear leg room? similar to the coupe?

I want the hatch so badly in America. They have to bring it over.

I believe it has a longer wheelbase, so it would have more room in the back.

I don't get the fascination with hatchbacks...I guess its more room in a smaller car which makes sense in Europe where space is more of a commodity...I like the way the A3 looks a lot, but its a hatch and kind of throws it off for me for some reason...

It's a bit worse than the coupe. About an inch or two less legroom at the back for the 3dr/5dr 1er.

Only two 1er hatchbacks would make it at the States...the 120i and the 130i. Lower than that (the 116i for example) is pointless.

Just to give you an idea on the price...I paid for my 120i 3dr in Greece the same money you guys pay for the 135i Coupe

Then again, it might!

We were out on a Saturday evening run, and we saw something very interesting.

White, 6-speed, 1er hatch... No camouflage and it seemed to be highly optioned, park distance control, sports package, pirelli eufori tires. The big news is that it's a diesel! It had green bordered USE ULTRA LOW SULPHUR DIESEL ONLY stickers inside. Cute and I hope it's out soon... My gf was a fan, she also thinks it looks better than the 1er coupe as this was the original design.

Maybe they were shopping at the Japanese market there. Could it have been a grey market import of a 123d? Seems too careless to be BMW testing something.

"DTM"....nice plate. Only a hair away from being awesome if BMW would actually compete in that series.

Man, they always get the good cars in Hoboken. Makes no sense to me with the roads (and the parking) being what they are.

I guess they might be studying it at the school, but who knows.

It's an import. Notice the speedometer. It's a kmph scale.

My dear Greece fellow European... Wait till you hear this:

The price of my 3door 118d hatch, totally stripped of equipment apart from cruise control, auto climate, M-steering wheel+knob and style 141 17" rims, with cloth interior is... Hang on:

90,000 USD or 58,000 EURO.

How much is a 135i with leather and all in the US?

We pay 180 % tax and VAT on cars here i Denmark... But then again... Hospitals, universities, doctors and so on is mostly free of charge...

I think it's a car that BMWNA has for testing in NNJ where their HQ is. Over the years, I've seen the 6er in camo (way before its launch), the e90 in camo etc. etc. A week ago, the new 7 series came out here as well:

Austin TX

Hello everyone,

I usually don't post here ... but I have just spotted a 1 series hatch in austin, tx around downtown 12th street. It was a dark grey one and it was unmistakenly a 1 series hatch since it was doodling around slowly although it didn't hit me to check its designation. After checking bimmerfile i knew that I gotta let my fellow carnuts know that this baby is now in TX too!

Cheers,
Bk

If it's of any help it's a 123d, you can tell by the black exhaust pipe.

There has been a 1er 5dr spotted a few times here in Memphis...

I have not seen it yet, however, on a recent (last week) trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I saw two 1er 5dr's. I sure did like it!

Please bring them over/up!
