PPF for interior Piano Black

Has anyone installed pre cut PPF for the center console? Just wondering if any brand is preferred or easier to work with. I was thinking of doing the XPEL Stealth on just my main shifter console and leaving the rest Shiny since I dont touch those areas as much.

Thanks!

Yes I have it on my interior. I install PPF and wraps as a hobby and work with 3M. If you want, I can send you a quote for an interior kit if it’s not too late. I can help you out in pricing.

Here’s my website for some legitimacy

Mine has it covered on all piano black and aluminum wood grain trims

Hey buddy, how long does PPF last and are there any signs when it needs to be replaced. Mine was done from new, so it's around 7 years old. No yellowing, mirror edges curl a little, but that is common I think and not a sign of failing. Mine is Xpel, most likely done/outsourced by the dealer. The areas PPF's would be the equivalent of your Full Front Package with the addition of the rear bumper parcel tray.

Always paranoid about waiting to long to replace and damaging the paint underneath it. Any insight would be appreciated. Wish you were near me, I would definitely give you my business.

Signs of replacement would be if you see any yellowing, cracking, discoloration. Life of PPF is typically 7-10 years more of less depending on how the film is taken care of (bird poop and contaminants left in film decrease the life of it over time).

The idea is to prevent the adhesive of the film from getting baked into the clear coat. Typically this is seen by haziness, peeling from edges, rough texture, loss of gloss etc.

Assuming your car didn’t get any aftermarket paint work done I think you’d be okay another couple more years! Preeesh the support!

Thank you for this. I appreciate it. It’s holding up well. None of the symptoms you referred to and in addition, the car is garaged 90% of the time. It rarely bakes in the sun. I’ll keep an eye on it.
