Best setup is: Pair your iPhone via bluetooth, keeping it in your pocket. (It will pair up anytime you get in the car.) Then use a separate iPod or flash drive for your music, leaving it hooked up in the armrest.

One plus when pairing your iPhone via iDrive: You pick up voice-dialing capability, which you don't otherwise have on an iPhone.

Can we connect a thumbdrive AND an iPhone simultaneously with a USB hub?

I've started a new thread on this. Please comment there: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10711

Has anyone tried the Snap-In Adapter for the iPhone? It charges the phone and provides a direct connection to the car's roof-mounted telephone antenna for improved signal.

I love the bluetooth pairing, it was really nice when getting a call going 110 down the Autobahn lol.
