I'm sure I'll be a bit anal too once she gets here tomorrow. Nothing wrong with showing some love to our babies.

I washed mine twice in about a 5 hour period the day after I picked her up. I also washed it a couple of days ago while it was raining! Gald to know I'm not the only Looney Tune...

I woke up this morning, washed my 135i and my 96 Camry (winter car), went for a drive, unfortunately parked under a tree and got tree sap all over my car. Had to rush home do another wash before heading out for dinner.

I haven't got my 135i yet but the last time I washed my PT Cruiser was in November.

I do want to keep the 135i clean so I'm thinking about making a regular appointment with a local detailer. I just don't have the desire to wash it myself all the time.

You WILL. While it's still brand new. It's all part of curing yourself after that horrible "wait".

detail small pieces at different times on trips out to the garage, eventually the whole car is done.
Black is soooo hard to keep clean!

Yeah, I read somewhere at somepoint that it hurts the paint if you wash it when the paint is warm (sun), so I usually wash it at night or first thing in the AM.

I drove from Philly to my house, got there at 1:30am, unpacked the car, reconfigured it for autocross, then washed the car at 3:30am, then took a shower and left for autocross. So, in lieu of grabbing some shut-eye, I opted to pull and all-nighter and wash the car.

Sounds like a common theme here!
