Drivers Seat Not working on my BMW G30

OK, What do you guys think this is?

My driver's seat is not working (won't slide forward/backward, tilt, etc.) but when I press the memory seat buttons on the door the seat moves. I'm thinking maybe this is the seat controls. How can I test to see if the seat controls on the side of the seat are broken or the seat control box is broken?

If anyone know where I can start, it would be helpful.

If you think this could be anything else, please let me know.

Thanks.

So frustrating when you can't move the seat.

I was hoping someone knew something about this. I guess I'll take it to the dealer.

The only thing I can suggest is to check the fuses. I don't have the memory function and there are 10 listed for the seat!
Good luck

I checked all the fuses and their all good. I'm starting to think it's the seat module under the seat. I'm looking know, what is the best way of removing the seat module?? Any ideas??

Cable unplugged? The controls may simply not be connected although I can’t see how that would happen but worth a look?

Unbolt the seat tilt it to access the connections remove plugs spray with contact cleaner and replace is what I would do.

That how I fixed mine when it wouldn't go up & down. Its been ok ever since.

capese21, Did you unplug the battery?? If so, what battery did you unplug? I'm afraid of damaging something by unplugging the battery.

I didn't unplug the battery but that's not to say you shouldn't.

You could try to remove the passenger working switch and plug it in the driver to see if it makes it move. Obviously the wrong orientation, but could rule out a bad switch or rule it in.

It may also need to be initialized again. If you haven't tried yet, remove the negative from the trunk battery for 30 minutes.

Definitely sounds like seat controls if the memory buttons put the seat in the proper position.
